Alpine Linux

Alpine Linux is a Linux distribution based on the lightweight musl libc and the multi-call binary busybox. It is designed “for power users who appreciate security, simplicity and resource efficiency.” It uses its own package manager called apk and the OpenRC init system.

Although Alpine Linux sees itself as a general purpose Linux distribution, it is mostly suitable for containers, routers and small non-complex servers. Creating a full-fleged Desktop Workstation with Alpine Linux is possible, but may be somewhat hard to achieve for novice users.
