====== Code of Conduct ======

We are a community dedicated to free, simple and lightweight programs.

We assemble information about simple programs to inform users about lightweight and free alternatives.

We are a non-discriminating community. We are experienced computer users and free software enthusiasts, but we do not consider ourselves as "elitist" or "1337". Everybody is welcome and will be treated with respect, except the ones which do discriminate.

===== We are inclusive =====

We welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited to members of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, social and economic class, educational level, color, immigration status, sex, age, size, family status,religion, and mental and physical ability.

Being inclusive also means that we actively defend people against discrimination. Therefore, people who discriminate other people, such as Nazis, Racists or Misogynists, can not be members of our community and will be banned. 

===== We are respectful =====

Not all of us will agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse for poor behavior and poor manners. We might all experience some frustration now and then, but we cannot allow that frustration to turn into a personal attack. 

We are:

  * Using welcoming and inclusive language
  * Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
  * Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
  * Showing empathy towards other community members

===== We are careful with words =====

We do not insult or put down other participants. Harassment and other exclusionary behavior aren't acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  * Violent threats or language directed against another person.
  * Discriminatory jokes and language.
  * Posting sexually explicit or violent material.
  * Posting (or threatening to post) other people's personally identifying information ("doxing").
  * Personal insults, especially those using racist or sexist terms.
  * Unwelcome sexual attention.
  * Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

In general, if someone asks you to stop, then stop. Persisting in such behavior after being asked to stop is considered harassment.
