openbox

Openbox is a highly configurable stacking window manager. Originally a from from Blackbox it has been rewritten in C. Menu can be opened with right-click, so it is easy enough to use for new users.

Configuration is done in XML files, which can be not so easy to read for novice users, but there is an additional program calles obconf wher you can do dome settings within a GUI. However, Openbox does provide taskbar or a systray out of the boxm, but you can use additional programs for this.

Configuration files

Easy file can be system-wide in /etc/xdg/openbox/ or user-specifig in ~/.config/openbox
