awesome is a highly configurable window manager which can be used as a tiling as well as a stacking wm. Awesome provides some advanced features. Although it is easy to get it up and running, configuration is not. The configuration is done in Lua, which is a script language, so it requires some skills in programming.

The most important default keybindigs are:

• Super-s: show keybindings
• Super-Enter: open a new terminal
• Shift-Super-q: quit
• Super-Tab: Go to prev./next Window
